Really diggin these guys, haven't be able to stop the foot tappin and neck noddin, infectious grooves to say the least! A group of anonymous musicians/DJ's who have been adding there bit of Oomph to some lost gems. To add more weight to the name, The Popular People's Front ONLY realease vinyl. So if you see it for sale digitally "then somebody is ripping off our ripped off music, which is a copyright and philosophical mindfield mindfield, to say the least".Respecta

Gwen Guthrie - Padlock (Larry Levan Mix)
Bit of disco boogie dub steez coming from the power duo of Gwen Guthrie and legendary dance producer Larry Levan. Perfect for the late night groovers. The Phenomenal Handclap Band
These guys/gals have been doin the rounds as of late and you've probably heard their 15 to 20 song from the ad with all the ridiculiously hot girls skating around in their underwear. I also included a track below, "Baby" which they released earlier through Truth & Soul. Funk and Soul Boogie to move ya junk people...

Dam Funk - Toeachizown Vol. 1 LAtrik
The First Volume (of 5) from Dam-Funk's debut full length album, Toeachizown, which will be released as a 5LP set in Fall 2009. You know the deal everything produced, recorded, written & sincerely funked without any loops or samples by D-F.The waxheads are gonna have to wait but if your patial to the digi download then holla over to Stones Throw for ya fix.
Master Blazter
Computer Jay, J-1 and D-F stepped the game up with a “more funk than jazz” Super Session recorded live at the HVW8 Art + Design. This grew into the group Master Blazter. Master Blazter demonstrates how the LA modern funk and boogie scene is starting to bubble and come together. This was the first time that these guys played as a group and it was a completely improvised session in front of a intimate crowd at the HVW8 Gallery.

Grace Jones - Pull Up To The Bumper
Some Grace Jones to keep ya struttin through the long weekend. Her music, style, videos and artwork are all dope, shes kind of freaky but i guess thats half the fun. Oh and it doesn't hurt to have Sly and Robbie on ya rhythm section either
First Touch LP
A German duo I came across on the synth boogie disco tip. A bit more G Funk lead synth and it would be perfect. Nice grooves still though...
